The purpose of Design Kit's Creative Community Grant is to contribute to the cultural vitality of our community as a whole by enhancing the visibility, online presence, community engagement and fund raising aspects of qualifying nonprofit institutions. Design Kit will provide service grants of up to $10,000 per project to qualifying nonprofits. Grant applications and awards will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. There are no cash awards made to the recipient organizations. Instead, the grant is awarded as an in-kind donation to the selected non-profit institution(s), and may only be applied towards specific marketing and communications services. Administrative salaries, wages, media expenditures, production costs, facilities and equipment are not covered under the Community Grant program.

  • AWARD PROCESS: Applications will be screened for eligibility upon submission. Eligible applications will be reviewed, and awards will be made upon completion and submission of all relevant evidence and documentation. Reviews and award are made on a first-come, first-serve basis until the award funds allocated for the quarter have been exhausted. The application process is competitive. Qualified applicants may need to undergo an interview process prior to award. Design Kit, and its Grant Committee Members will determine (at their sole discretion) the recipient(s) of the grant and the amount of the award. Grants may be awarded no later than 60 days following the date of the grant application.
  • ELIGIBLE PROJECTS: Only the following types of projects may be eligible for the grant: Branding (Logo Design, Typographic Design, Stationery, etc.), Graphic Design, Illustration, Custom Lettering, Photography, Packaging Design, Infographics, Social Media Development and Website Development. For any other project types, please contact us before applying. The grant DOES NOT fund media expenditures of any kind (radio, print, TV, etc.) nor does it fund print production costs, however we partner with local businesses who may be willing to match or contribute to our grant commitment.
  • The grant award may be applied towards a specific project, or a group of related projects. The information contained in all submissions is confidential.
  • This grant award is only available to nonprofits with 501c(3) designation.
  • The grant award and services may not be transferred, donated or resold.
  • Submissions are construed as containing an electronic signature. All applications will be verified for authenticity. Non-verifiable applications will be discarded.
  • Organizations must represent and warrant that they are willing to provide information to Design Kit for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial of this donation, and give Design Kit credit in the materials funded through this grant.
  • We believe in developing long term relationships with the organizations we support. In consequence, we ask beneficiary organizations to appoint Design Kit as their marketing agency of record upon acceptance of the grant award.
